Ashbrook Roofing Services is one of the region’s leading roofing contractors, having been in the industry over 35 years, specialising in standard size and diminished stone and natural slating, all types of clay and concrete tiling, bitumen pour and roll, EPDM rubber and torch-on flat roofing, along with flat and pitched lead roofing. With an enviable reputation in the area, Ashbrook Roofing Services takes enormous pride in serving a growing number of commercial, public sector and private residential customers from its Head Office in Darley Dale and Contracting depot in Rowsley.

The company is currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated experienced Roofer to join their hard-working team, and over time become a Team leader with potential growth progression.

Job description:

As the company continues its rapid expansion, they are seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated Experienced Roofer who will help lead their roofing teams to further success. This is a significant role within the business and reports directly to the Senior Contracts Manager.

Job Role:

  • Deliver self-motivation to maximise productivity, fully deliver customer expectations and meet company targets.
  • Actively take part in the day-to-day contracts work, including responsibility for Health & Safety (following specific RAMS and project specification sheets of toolbox talks, etc);
  • Undertake the supervision of sites to ensure the quality of workmanship and conformance to the specification, budget and timeline; problem resolution; ensuring customers are kept up to date with progress; and the scheduling and planning of resources and materials.
  • Train and develop other roofing team members in their skills, and bring in projects on time and to budget following British Standards.
  • Provide extraordinary customer service to both external and internal customers.
  • Deliver high standards of organisation, cleanliness and health & safety.
  • To actively participate in the team, contributing to companies’ development.

Skills and experience:

  • 8-year minimum roofing experience.
  • Enjoys working outdoors in all weathers.
  • Must be confident working at heights.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with a positive outlook.
  • Communication & project management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Depth of roofing technical knowledge.
  • Car driver with current driving licence.
  • Team player with a positive outlook.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to follow instructions and Health & Safety regulations.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and the determination and self-discipline to manage their busy workload and scheduled projects, providing them with clear direction in terms of duties, goals and responsibilities. You will have experience gained from working within a similar role/environment and be able to demonstrate excellent roofing solutions, project organisational and staff development skills.
