To continue the delivery of their growth focused vision, Ashbrook Roofing are searching for additional Warehouse Operative to bring their skills and strengths to the team.

Responsibilities include

· Ensure customer’s orders are quickly, efficiently, respectfully, and consistently picked and finished to a high standard of work within the guidelines of Ashbrook Roofing’s customer standards.

· Ensure orders are picked, labelled and despatched on-time and in full whilst meeting internal and external metrics. Contribute in the resolution of or escalate matters that directly or indirectly impact sales, profitability or meeting internal or external metrics.

· Maintain exceptional quality standards through thorough checking of picked orders checking for both quality and accuracy.

· Ensure stock is rotated and picked correctly, stored efficiently, securely and without damage, maintain clean isles and picking areas, and maximise use of available space within the warehouse.

· Ensure items found to be damaged or otherwise unsuitable for the fulfilment of customer orders are immediately reported for quarantine and remedial action.

· Proactively identify and escalate shortages, underselling or short dated products to the purchasing team. Undertake/participate in cycle counting as required.

· Where qualified operate and maintain fork trucks in full compliance with the Ashbrook Roofing Supplies Fork Truck Safety Policy.

· Ensure the timely, safe and damage free loading of outbound e-Commerce consignments onto associated couriers. Ensure that all consignments are accounted for and that associated transactions are processed and all documentation is maintained as per procedure.

· Ensure all equipment, materials and packaging has been tidied up and placed back into their allocated location at the end of every day, tools being placed back onto their designated shadow boards. The warehouses and yard are to be being swept at the end of every day.

· Manage site waste through skip management or company vehicles. Use the plastic and cardboard recycling systems within the depot.

· Carry out any other reasonable instruction which is beneficial to the business

· Additional duties as maybe requested by the Operations Manager or Management Team that include but is not limited to the support of the yard operations team and or the transport team.

· Support as may be required our trade counter sales requests picking orders directly for waiting customers.

Required skills & experience

· You will have a positive outlook and ability to work on own initiative as an individual or part of a team Ideally you will have experience gained from working within a similar role/environment.

· A counterbalance forklift truck licence would be highly beneficial.

7.30-5pm Monday to Friday

Saturday mornings to 12noon (as may be required)

Located in Matlock, Ashbrook Roofing Supplies head office is commutable by car from Buxton, Chesterfield, Derby, Nottingham, and Sheffield.
