Dry Fix Systems

Dry fix systems are modern roofing solutions that use mechanical fixings - such as clips, screws, and brackets—to secure ridge, hip, and verge tiles without the use of traditional wet mortar. Use Trims, drainage, ventilation and ridge systems to complete your roofing project.

Dry Ridge & Hip Systems: Typically utilize a ventilated ridge roll (a waterproof, breathable membrane) laid over the ridge batten. Ridge tiles are then secured over the roll using unions, clamping plates, and stainless steel screws.

Dry Verge Systems: Use interlocking plastic caps or continuous profiles to finish the roof edge (verge). These units lock tiles in place and channel rainwater away from the gable wall to prevent staining.

Dry Valleys & Bonding Gutters: Use GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) troughs to discharge water from roof intersections without mortar.

Weather Resistance: Unlike mortar, dry fix systems are not prone to cracking from freeze-thaw cycles or building settlement.

Maintenance-Free: Once installed, these systems typically require zero upkeep and can last for decades (often guaranteed for 15+ years).

Built-in Ventilation: Most systems provide continuous high-level ventilation (e.g., 5,000mm²/m) to prevent condensation and rot in the roof void.

All-Weather Installation: They can be fitted in rain or frost, whereas mortar requires dry conditions and temperatures above 4°C to cure properly.
