C24 Treated Timber
C24 strength graded timber that has been regularised to consistent widths for working accurately, kiln dried for extra stability and pressure treated to enhance resistance against rot and insect attack.
Greater Strength: It is approximately 50% stronger than C16, allowing for longer unsupported spans without sagging.
Better Appearance: It is sourced from slower-growing climates, resulting in a tighter grain with fewer and smaller knots.
Increased Stability: Kiln-drying and stricter grading make it less prone to twisting or warping.
Common Applications
Roofing: Ideal for roof trusses, rafters, and purlins where heavy loads (like tiles or snow) are present.
Flooring: Used for floor joists in extensions or new builds to ensure a solid, stable base.
