Elliottis Pine Plywood (BBA Certified) - 1200 x 2440mm

Elliottis Pine Plywood, often known as shuttering plywood, is a cost-effective, structural material imported from Brazil. BBA certification ensures it meets strict UK building standards for structural use, typically graded as EN 636-2 (suitable for humid internal or protected exterior use).

12mm Elliottis Pine Plywood

This thickness is the standard choice for general-purpose structural sheathing. It is rigid enough for vertical support but lightweight enough for easy overhead installation.

Best For: Wall sheathing, roof bracing, site hoarding, and as a base for internal floor build-ups.

 Dimensions:

  • Width (mm): 1220
  • Length (mm): 2440
  • Height (mm): 12
  • Weight (kg): 20

18mm Elliottis Pine Plywood

The 18mm board provides significant load-bearing capacity and rigidity. Because it is a natural wood product, it is generally stronger than the 18mm OSB3 mentioned earlier but can be more prone to surface imperfections like knots.

Best For: Heavy-duty flooring, flat roof decking, and concrete shuttering/formwork.

 Dimensions:

  • Width (mm): 1220
  • Length (mm): 2440
  • Height (mm): 18
  • Weight (kg): 30

OSB3 vs. Elliottis Plywood Comparison

Surface: OSB3 has a more consistent, engineered surface; Elliottis Plywood has a "C+" grade face with natural knots and variations.

Edges: Unlike the T&G OSB boards discussed previously, these plywood sheets are usually square-edged, though some specialized T&G versions exist for flooring.

Strength: Plywood offers better cross-grain strength due to its laminated layers, making it less likely to "creep" under long-term load than OSB.
