Graded Treated Roofing Laths / Battens: 25 x 50mm
25 x 50mm Graded Treated Roofing Lath (also known as 2x1 batten) is the standard structural timber used for fixing tiles and slates on pitched roofs. To meet UK building regulations for new builds and major refurbishments, these must be pre-graded to BS 5534 standards.
Standard Compliance: Must meet BS 5534:2014+A2:2018 to be used as structural support for tiles.
Treatment: Usually UC2 (Use Class 2) pressure-treated to protect against wood-rotting fungi and insect attack.
Fixing Guide: It is recommended to use 3.35mm diameter nails (typically 65mm long) for secure fixing into rafters
