Economy based underlay, perfect for use with shingles and shed felt on a variety of outside buildings.

It is a modified bitumen based underlay that will enhance the life span of shed felt and felt shingles leaving your building protected for longer.

Available in a 10m x 1m roll.

Weight per roll: 14kg.

Type of application

- Standard Underlay is intended for use as a traditional underlay in a bitumen built up roofing system for non-habitable buildings. Membranes should be installed in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines. 

Compatibility

- The material is compatible with all materials normally used in roofing structures and finishes and may be cut and formed using techniques described in BS8217: 2004. There are no harmful side effects associated with this material. Hydrocarbon solvent-based products, such as naptha, paraffin and creosote will have a harmful effect and should not be allowed to come into contact with the material. 

Storage & Handling

Do not drag rolls across rough surfaces, always lift. Rolls should be stored upright on a dry surface. During colder periods it is recommended that rolls are store in a temperature above 10 °c for 24 hours prior to use. During storage exposure to direct sunlight is to be avoided. Do not use in temperatures below 5 °c.
