This Marley Concrete Segmental Ridge is designed to seamlessly complement other Marley concrete tiles. It can be used on roofs with a minimum pitch of 15° (dry ridge) and a maximum pitch of 55° (dry ridge).

Concrete roof tile fittings are ideal for securing elements in their proper positions. With a wide range of options available for contemporary homes and an assortment of various concrete colours available, you can ensure that your concrete tile fittings harmonise perfectly with the overall theme.

At the top of a roof, ridge tiles and hip tiles are connected. Angled and half-round ridge tiles are popular, with angled ridges used on slate roofs and half-rounds favoured in the UK. Eccentric-style tiles like the Marley Monoridge offer colour combinations for a modern aesthetic. Finishing the roof's edge is a hip end, which can be enhanced with decorative finials for added style. These elements elevate the overall appearance, adding variety and a special touch to your property.

This segmental ridge is suited to use with various Marley concrete tiles, including Duo Edgemere, Edgemere, Mendip, Plain Tiles, Modern, Double Roman, Riven Edgemere and Anglia. It is also suited to Ludlow Plus, Ludlow Major, Duo Modern, EcoLogic, Mendip 12.5, Wessex and Ashmore.

These are clearance items and will therefore seem slightly weathered or have imperfection, viewing them is recommended.

Please note that ordering 5% more ridge is recommended to allow for breakages especially if a job is on a tight timescale. Some can be broken in transit and can be refunded.

Drill these tiles on site to adapt for combined mortar/mechanical fixing with our sealed Ridge Screws. Alternatively, go for easy, all-weather fixing with our Dry Ridge Systems.

What is Efflorescence and how do we treat it?

Efflorescence is a natural result of the reaction between cement and water. The calcium hydroxide ‘lime’ is a product of this reaction, which rises to the surface of the tile. It cannot be seen when wet but when the tile is dry a chalky, white residue can be seen.

The occurrence of efflorescence on concrete roof tiles is erratic and unpredictable, but weather conditions seem to be a significant factor.

Efflorescence forms more readily when the concrete tile becomes wet and dries slowly, and therefore, occurs more often during winter.
It is generally only likely to occur in the early life of the product, so materials installed for a year or more without experiencing efflorescence are unlikely to be affected in the future.

Marley concrete roof tiles have a pigmented polymer surface coating to help suppress the formation of efflorescence compounds. This coating has a lifespan of three to five years. By the time this coating has weathered, the concrete tile will have matured to such an extent that it is no longer susceptible to efflorescence.
