Manthorpe Single Pantile Tile Vent - GTV-SP

The small format single pantile ventilator is designed to provide a quick and simple solution to the problems of roof space ventilation and mechanical extraction/soil stack termination through a roof covered with a concrete single pantile.

  • Tile Compatibility
  • Marley Anglia
  • Redland Fenland
  • Sandtoft Shire

The in-line profile helps to maintain an unbroken appearance to the roofline at a high or low level. Designed to suit the leading tile makes, it is available in a range of colours with a moulded textured finish. The tortured path through the internal weathering geometry is designed to maintain a constant airflow gap of 5,000 mm² whilst channelling any water ingress out of the vent and onto the roof covering below, with the 4mm louvered grille in place to prevent the entry of debris and large nesting insects.

How often do I need to place them?

This handy guide below covers the recommended spacing between vents based on airflow (mm/m²)

Free Flowing Airflow Tile Vent Spacing
  Millimetres Meters
5000mm/m² 1000 1
10000mm/m² 500 0.5
25000mm/m² 200 0.2

Made of an injection moulded polypropylene with a uPVC top these tile vents meet all the necessary standards for roofing and ventilation (BS 5534:2014, BS 5250:2011 & BS 490:2004) and are suitable for use down to 20° roof pitches without the risk of water ingress.

The Manthorpe Single Pantile vent has a built-in adaptor and connects directly to a Manthorpe Flexi-pipe and takes the space of 1 single pantile without the need to cut through the roofing battens.

Independently Tested to BS 8612

Following the increased use of dry fix systems courtesy of these updates to BS 5534, a brand-new standard BS 8612 was introduced in February of 2018 to better control the design and material construction of dry fix systems. Manthorpe’s range of dry fix products have been independently tested to conform with the requirements of BS 8612, performance data for the tests conducted on these products is available upon request.

By far the simplest, quickest, and most cost-effective way of complying with the new standard is to join the switch to dry fix methods of roofing. Manthorpe's dry fix systems provide a high performance, easy to fix and maintenance free solution which can not only speed up the job on site, but also offer long term financial benefits.

The Bat Ridge Roost provides a habitable roost space for small crevice-dwelling bat species found in the UK.

Designed in association with the Bat Conservation Trust as part of their Roost Partnership scheme the product is a self-contained, externally mounted unit which offers no means of access for the bats to enter the roof space or the property. The Bat Ridge Roost also acts as a ridge end cap and is optimised to work in conjunction with the Manthorpe SmartVerge Polypropylene handed and ambidextrous dry verge systems (alternatively, could also be used with third party dry verge, traditional verge tiles or mortared in verge details).
