Premium Lead Patination Oil: 125ml
In damp or wet weather conditions, new lead can on occasion develop an uneven powdery white, non-adherent coating of carbonate. This can be washed off by rainfall and cause staining on materials below. To counteract this, Calder developed patination oil to prevent this from occurring.
Features & benefits
- A single coat of Calder patination oil soon after installation will minimise surface staining from white carbonate on new lead and surrounding areas
- Patination oil should also be applied to the underside of the lead apron and allowed to dry before fitting to minimise moisture under the lead sheet
- Apply patination oil in one direction across the installed material, including underneath the lead sheet
- Only a single coat is required
- Easy to use dispensing bottle
- 125ml covers approximately 15sqm
