This will start your application for Klarna Financing. You will be asked to provide information about yourself which is required to check your eligibility. If you are approved, your payment plan will be created and your order will be automatically placed with us. It’s a short application and you won't have to leave our website.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for Klarna Financing you must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident. Your application approval is subject to Klarna's review of the details you provide and your financial circumstances. A full credit search will also be performed when you apply for a Klarna Financing agreement.

What details do I need to provide when I make my purchase?

You will need to provide your name, billing address, email address and phone number, as well as your employment and bank details.

Will I be required to pay anything when I apply?

If I make my purchase on a Klarna Financing plan, will I pay interest?

Our Financing options are credit plans with repayment terms ranging between 6-36 months. The email will contain a link to Klarna’s online portal or to download the app, where you can manage your purchases with Klarna. It is essential that you provide accurate information during checkout to ensure that you receive all Klarna communications related to your Financing plan.

If I apply for Klarna Financing, will this affect my credit score?

When you apply for Financing with Klarna, Klarna will make a full credit search with the credit reference agencies who supply Klarna with credit information. The agencies will record details of the search, which can be seen on your credit file, regardless of whether or not credit is approved. This record will also be visible to third parties and other lenders and may affect whether or not other organisations decide to provide you with credit in future. For any questions relating to the credit check process, you can contact Klarna’s customer support team.

What if I am late or miss a payment?

Your monthly payment must reach Klarna by the payment due date. Klarna will report information to credit reference agencies about the payments you make, and about any payments that you fail to make on time. Late or missing repayments may have serious consequences for you. Your credit rating may be affected which will make it more difficult or more expensive for you to obtain credit in the future. If at any time you miss consecutive payments, Klarna may serve you a default notice requiring you to repay what you owe. If you fail to do so, Klarna may terminate your Financing agreement and assign the debt to a debt collection agency to collect on behalf of Klarna. Klarna may also sell the debt to a debt collection agency. If you are having trouble making repayments, please get in touch with Klarna Customer Service via the support section of the Klarna app or via Klarna’s customer support page.

PayPal's Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status.

Getting Started:

What is PayPal Pay in 3?

PayPal Pay in 3 is an interest-free loan that lets you split your basket into 3 payments, with the first due at time of purchase and subsequent payments due every month on the same date. It’s a great way to spread the cost of larger items or to cover emergencies, and is a helpful tool to manage your budget more effectively. Pay in 3 is an unregulated credit agreement, so you will have fewer protections under this agreement than you would under a regulated credit agreement. Carefully consider whether the purchase is affordable and how you will make the repayments. Be aware of the possible impact of using Pay in 3 and of missing payments, including making other borrowing more difficult or more expensive.

Will I be able to use PayPal Pay in 3?

We may also decide not to offer PayPal Pay in 3 as a payment option in certain circumstances, such as where our checks suggest an increased risk of fraud or where data we hold suggests you may not be eligible. The checks we run are with an external credit reference agency. This search will only be visible to you and will not affect your credit score.

If you choose PayPal Pay in 3 as your payment method when you check out with PayPal, you’ll be taken through the application process. You’ll get a decision instantly, but not everyone is approved based on the checks we carry out.

How long will my PayPal Pay in 3 plan last?

Your plan will last 2 months in total. The first payment will be due at the time of purchase, followed by 2 further payments due each month after that.

What information do i need to apply for PayPal Pay in 3?

To apply for PayPal Pay in 3, you’ll need to provide your:

  • Title
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Payment details
How is my application for PayPal Pay in 3?

Our decision making process is automated. We assess your financial position using a combination of the information you provided within your application, and information about your usage and history with PayPal to decide whether PayPal Pay in 3 is suitable for you at this time. We may also run a “soft” credit check with an external credit reference agency when you apply if we need more information to make our decision. This search will only be visible to you and will not affect your credit score.

Are there any fees associated with PayPal Pay in 3?

There are no fees for choosing to pay with PayPal Pay in 3.

Can i opt out from seeing PayPal Pay in 3 at checkout?

If you wanted to change this at a later date, you can contact us and we can change your settings to show Pay in 3 again.

Most frequently asked questions:

How will my PayPal Pay in 3 transaction appear in my PayPal activity?

Every PayPal Pay in 3 transaction will appear in your PayPal activity feed as the full purchase amount under the relevant merchant’s name as a ‘purchase’. This is to reflect the total purchase amount and is not reflective of the PayPal Pay in 3 instalment plan or any payments already made using your chosen debit card or bank account linked to your PayPal account. By using PayPal Pay in 3, PayPal pays the merchant upfront and spreads the cost to you over 3 payments. The first payment is taken on the date of purchase and the next two payments are automatically taken over the following two months. The first payment and subsequent two payments will each be reflected as separate transactions in your PayPal activity and represent the actual payments made towards your purchase.

Why is there a pending authorisation shown in my PayPal activity for my PayPal Pay in 3 transaction?

When making a purchase with PayPal Pay in 3, if you pay with a debit card, we will place a pre-authorisation hold on your chosen card for an amount equal to one third of your total purchase amount. This will show as a pending authorisation in your PayPal account activity and also in the bank account of the card linked to your PayPal account. Once you complete your purchase with PayPal Pay in 3 and the merchant ships your goods, the pending authorisation will be removed and the initial payment will be withdrawn from your card. If you do not complete your PayPal Pay in 3 transaction, the pending authorisation will be automatically voided by PayPal within 24 hours of the pre-authorisation hold.

My PayPal Pay in 3 purchase was denied or did not go through, why do i still have a pending authorisation showing in my PayPal activity?

If you pay by debit card, and you don’t successfully make a purchase using PayPal Pay in 3, PayPal will automatically void the pending authorisation within 24 hours of placing the pre-authorisation hold. Funds will not be taken from your card if the PayPal Pay in 3 transaction was not completed.

Why didn't my payment go through?

There are a number of reasons we may not have been able to complete your scheduled payment. For example, if the debit card used to sign up to your Pay in 3 plan has expired or if there were insufficient funds available in your bank account balance.

If you need to change your payment method, you can do so by logging into your PayPal account, going to PayPal Pay in 3, and selecting the PayPal Pay in 3 plan you want to change. There, you can click “Change” under “Payment Method”

Contact us for further assistance.

When will my payments be charged?

Your first payment will be charged at the time you make the purchase. After that, your 2nd and 3rd payments will be charged in the two subsequent months, on the same day of each month. For example, if you make a purchase on 5th May, your 2nd and 3rd payments will be due on 5th June and 5th July.

If a payment is due on a date which doesn’t exist in a month, such as the 31st February, then payment will be taken on the last day of that month.

We’ll send you a reminder by email or SMS 10 days before your payment is due detailing the amount of your payment, the payment due date and the funding instrument the payment will be taken from. You can see your payment schedule or make unscheduled payments at any time by logging into your PayPal account.

Why could i use Pay in 3 before, but can't with the same merchant now?

Pay in 3 availability will vary by merchant and individual shopping experience. The Pay in 3 checkout option will be displayed if the option is available for the transaction amount and purchase category, as well as the specific merchant. Keep in mind, not all goods and services are eligible. If for some reason any of the items in your cart are not eligible for Pay in 3, it will not be available for your purchase. Also, Pay in 3 is only available for transactions £30-£2000.

Why can I not always see PayPal Pay in 3 at checkout, even though i have used it before?

If PayPal Pay in 3 doesn’t appear at checkout, it could be due to a few factors. Availability depends on the merchant, the total transaction amount, and the type of purchase. For example, Pay in 3 isn’t offered for certain transactions and with certain merchants, such as those in restricted industries. Please note that Pay in 3 is only eligible for transactions between £30 and £2,000. Additionally, not all products or services may qualify for Pay in 3, and certain eligibility criteria, like your account status or payment history, could affect whether it’s available to you when you checkout. Even if you’ve used Pay in 3 before, it may not be available for every purchase.

We will assess your application for Pay in 3 on the basis of internal and sometimes external data.
