The Permanite Challenger is a durable, long-lasting roofing felt.

The base is coated with oxidised bitumen and finished with a sand surface. The sand finish makes Challenger 180 Poly Sand an excellent material for use with thermal installation (PIR) boards. Traditional, pour and roll methods are recommended for installation of this watertight, polymeric membrane.

The IKO Challenger 180 Pour & Roll Underlay is manufactured with a high-performance polyester base, coated on either side with a modified bitumen. Both the upper and lower surfaces are sanded to facilitate adhesion using hot bitumen or cold bitumen adhesive, primarily used as the underlay or intermediate layer within a bituminous built-up roofing system.

This product is also widely used as a nailed preparatory layer.

As an underlay, and when it is installed and conditions are maintained as per IKO literature, the relevant Codes of Practice, and UK Building Regulations, the product will contribute to the durability stated by the respective Capsheet (Sold Seperately).
