Premium G1 Lead Restorer

Premium Formula G1 has been designed for restoring lead, safely removing white deposits (oxide/carbonate) and unsightly stains on new lead or lead aged less than 50 years old. This lead restorer and lead cleaner will not damage lead. As well as cleaning and removing deposits, it will improve the appearance of the lead. Standard coverage is approximately 10m2 per litre.

Buyer Notes

Advisory statements from the British Lead Sheet Association recommend using Lead Sheet Cleaner before application to pre-clean and then after to neutralise the restorer, then applying Patination Oil to the lead in question immediately after. This protects against deposits and keeps the new finish fresh for longer.

Please note there may be a chemical smell in the box or/and a small leak, but the manufacturers are aware of this and have added extra product to the bottle and we have added tape to try and minimise this. The level of product in the bottle should be similar to the listing image. Please weigh it and you will see the product should still have 1kg or more in the bottle.

Made it worse

Reacted badly with the lead and made it worse.

Hi Nick, we're sorry to hear about your experience. The instructions do advise to test a small amount before using the product on larger areas, this is due to making sure you have the correct product for the job and if either the G3 or G1 Lead restorers were the best items for the job. Please also note that Lead Sheet cleaner should have been used before and after the job, if it is left on it will continue to work and could damage the lead.

Used the product before and happy with it
however when it arrived the bottle was leaking and approximately was only two thirds full.
The top had been taped over so obviously it was leaking before dispatched and the packaging was soaked with contents.

Thank you for your order and feedback, however information about all of these points are stated on the buyer notes on the listing. It states that we apply tape to the bottle to help prevent leaks in transit, the manufacturer is aware that the bottle does leak a little in transit so they add more product to the bottle to account for this while they source a better container. Please ensure that you read the listing in full especially buyer notes before purchase.

Great service- fast delivery

Arrived very quickly and well packaged with extra tape round top of bottle to stop it leaking. Arrived safely, very good service. Thank you. I have yet to use the product but no reason to doubt it will be right for the job I want it for.
